Visit to China (Part 3) - Food Glorious Food!

For 13 days, I have been eating not because I need to but because I want to.

I had breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, tea, snack, dinner, snack, supper, snack! OMG! Can't believe myself. But what the heck! I'm on vacation! I don't want to think about the calories then, I'll worry about those when I get back!

The food in China is somewhat not so much to our taste but I'm not choosy about food. So minus the salt, sugar and oil in those food, the result is...nice and cheap food!

...but not this cup of coffee. It cost Rmb45!
Never go to this place again in my life!
(a cafe somewhere near Westlake, Hangzhou)

Breakfast is simple here.

Dumplings are cheap and tasty. Notice the price tag? Get what I meant? Oops! For those who are not good in Mandarin, let me translate...from the top;

Our shop's specialty dumplings
Each portion 10 pcs

3 mixed meat dumpling 8 yuan/portion
Beef dumpling 7 yuan/portion
Seafood dumpling 7 yuan/portion
Veg & meat dumpling 6 yuan...
.....and so on....tired leh.

Our lunch here cost Rmb26 inclusive of tea for 4 person.
Cheap leh!

And much much more...

..street food and snacks..must try!

...snacks ('ping thong wu lou', steamed maize, maltose, cotton candy)

the best mutton dishes...in Suzhou! Tasty...

Beer taste a little sweet...?? Chinese rice wine...good kick!

Dare to try this milk??

This Da Niang Dumpling is like Old Town White Coffee here, branches everywhere!

the end product is.. this...not something I like.

sweet but not my taste...

...the most renowned 'siu long pau' and 'tong pau' in Zheng Huang Temple, Shanghai. Good but....

...the world best 'siu long pau' and 'tong pau'...in Nanjing Rd. Shanghai. (my personal opinion)

...the best duck noodle soup...in Shanghai...yummmm!

And of course, their local delicacy.

Weird food...
